Built-In
Fingerings:
The
built-in fingerings are outlined in the document Built-In.gif or RecorderBuiltIn.PICT which you can open with
your web browser or some other graphics programme. This contains all a picture of the appropriate keys to which
you can print or otherwise refer.
For
alto
or bass
recorders, obviously the fingerings need to be transposed up a perfect 4th to
be read correctly.
Making
Your Own Fingerings
Press
` to get the blank tablature, then press the numbers to 'fill in' the holes.

Press
shift+number to get 1/2 holes.
Press
option+number (Macintosh only) to get shaded holes (/).
Press
~ (tilde) to get a W (window-shade symbol).

(hyphen) = end hole of recorder covered

(underscore) = end hole of recorder 1/2 covered.
